Delivering the world’s first Piezoelectric Generators.

Akinmedes energy solutions are built with Piezoelectric modules. Each module contains Ceramic Perovskite materials and proprietary arrangement and actuation methods that are significantly smaller, efficient and resilient than traditional electromagnetic generators. This miniaturisation allows for great reduction in size and weight of generators and higher electromechanical coupling which produces more energy than traditional electromagnetic generators. Akinmedes’s first Piezoelectric Generators will be available in 5KW units, which can easily be combined with existing Power Management Systems.

Efficient

Compared to electromagnetic converters, piezoelectric systems have a higher electromechanical coupling coefficient (above 0.7 versus 0.4–0.6 for electromagnetic systems), which provides up to 30% more output electrical energy with the same input force.

Miniature

Piezoelectric generators have the potential of a compact form factor, requiring 50–70% less volume compared to electromagnetic generators at similar power levels, making them ideal for applications in power generation where electromagnetic generators dominate.

High Frequency, Light-Weight

Piezoelectric materials can be actuated at high frequencies close to their natural resonant frequency, and generate hundreds of times more sine waves than conventional electromagnetic systems, thereby leading to lesser material usage and light-weight equipment.
